About this activity

This introductory dive is designed for complete beginners. After a confined-water briefing and skills check in the shallows, a certified PADI instructor guides you on a controlled descent to explore a vibrant house reef alive with reef fish, soft corals and the occasional turtle.

All scuba equipment is provided and the instructor manages your buoyancy and depth, so you can simply enjoy the magic of breathing underwater in one of the world's premier dive destinations.

Know before you go

Minimum age 10. Not suitable for guests with heart, lung or ear conditions or who are pregnant. No diving within 24 hours before flying. Complete the medical questionnaire before the dive.

Meeting point & pickup

Dive centre is on Maafushi island. Reach Maafushi from Male by public ferry or speedboat; report to the dive centre at the confirmed time for your briefing.
