Overview

The Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya, formerly the Prince of Wales Museum, is housed in a striking Indo-Saracenic building in South Mumbai. Its collection spans over 70,000 artefacts of Indian history, art and archaeology.

Highlights include Indus Valley relics, Gandhara sculptures, exquisite Mughal and Rajput miniature paintings, jade and ivory decorative arts and a natural history section, all set around a domed central hall and gardens.
